該品種體型大，生長速度快。仔兔初生重60-70克，1月齡斷奶重可達(dá)650-1000克，90日齡體重2.1千克，育肥期料肉比為3.29：1。成年體重平均5.0-6.5千克，高者可達(dá)7.5-8.0千克。耐粗飼，抗病力強(qiáng)，繁殖力較高，年產(chǎn)仔4-6胎，胎均產(chǎn)仔7-8只，斷奶成活率平均81%。
